Meals at Heals
We helped to create this charming restaurant within the Tottenham Court Road Flagship store. Refreshing light-hearted styling details are visible throughout. These are highlighted in the country kitchen tables which evoke a Hansel and Gretel feel.
Enlisted by architectural group FAT for restaurateur Oliver Peyton, we were commissioned to create all of the tables within Meals. Inspiration was taken from the Arts & Crafts movement; the result is a large array of beautiful oak lacquered tables incorporating a cream pelmet edge. Several things had to be taken into consideration including allowing for sufficient leg room with the unusual deep edging.
“This was an interesting project to work on; this wasn’t just about creating furniture, after all, the venue was based in a leading contemporary furniture store. We were producing a look and a feel that instantly transports you from the hustle and bustle of London. After much research and prototyping we perfected a design which will delight shoppers and dinners alike” enthused Jerry Russell.
