Design Consultancy - The Design Process
All projects follow the basic stages laid out below, condensing or expanding as appropriate to individual requirements.
- We will arrange an initial meeting with you to discuss your requirements and to outline the aims, objectives and milestones.
- You will receive a business proposal to give you a clear description of what you will receive, what the costs will be and to establish time scales.
- We will write a brief to help develop trust and understanding between us, and to serve as an essential point of reference for both of us.
- Research and concept development.
- Our final visual presentation with basic detailed scale drawings.
- Pre manufacture we will present full working drawings with sample materials and estimated production costs.
- We will produce a full prototype (when appropriate) and supply you with final production costs.
Our design fees are quoted in advance on a fixed price or on a 'price-not-to-exceed' basis. These prices relate to the amount of time a project is anticipated to take multiplied by the agreed day rate. Fees are then billed in day or half-day increments.
