Fortnum & Mason

About This Project

The long tradition of the British “taking tea” was reaffirmed and refined with the transformation of St James’s Restaurant by the renowned David Collins Studio. They created the perfect Fortnum & Mason interior to coincide with the restaurant’s 250th anniversary. We were asked, as a trusted British manufacturer, to develop and produce the custom-made chairs, banquette seating and tables. For us, it was an honour to be asked to apply our knowledge and expertise to such a prestigious project.

The responsibility of delivering in both quality and time-scale was achieved on 1st March 2012. With great fanfare, the refurbished St James’s restaurant was opened by HM the Queen accompanied by Their Royal Highnesses the Duchess of Cornwall and the Duchess of Cambridge and renamed The Diamond Jubilee Tea Salon.

In 2015 and 2016, we were commissioned to manufacture several bespoke champagne trolleys in stained and lacquered beech with antiqued brass rail and eau de nil leather details.
